Hey there!  I’m Nevin!  I am a designer, musician, and all-round, creative-at-heart.  I am passionate about helping people reach their goals through the support of design.
I believe that effective design has the powerful ability to elevate people’s lives.  Thus, my goal as a designer is to ensure products help people live more enriched lives, while also fulfilling the goals and needs of those who conceptualize these products.
Upon realizing my aspirations in design, I pursued education at the University of California, Irvine, where I earned a B.S. in Informatics, with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction in June 2020.

MUSIC
In addtion to design, music has always been a significant part of my life. I have participated in different music programs and ensembles in my experiences with music including: symphonic band, jazz band, drum corps, and acapella vocal ensemble.
My passion for music led me to pursue music production and DJ-ing under the stage name CAELUM. Realizing the importance of community, I founded the creative arts collective HOKUNEIA, which brings together and foster growth among musical and visual artists. HOKUNEIA has recently hosted a number of charity events, featured over 30 artists, and raised over $2000 in donations to philantrophic efforts.

VIETNAMESE STUDENT ASSOCIATION

For the past 4 years, I have been heavily involved in the community of the Vietnamese Student Association (VSA). VSA has not only taught me valuable leadership and life lessons that I live by to this day, but has also provided me with a second home and strong bonds to people I cherish.
In my time in VSA, I assumed many leadership positions in numerous VSA-affilated organizations and participated in projects enriching the Asian-American community.  These projects include planning and project management of leadership conferences for young professionals and students, with attendance of 150-300 attendees.
